GENESYS Celebration Event

Take part in GENESYS at Your Local Official Tournament Store!

We are excited to announce the GENESYS Celebration Event, running from 7th March to 5th April 2026! Duelists across Europe, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa will have the opportunity to celebrate the release of GENESYS at participating Official Tournament Stores (OTS).

Whether you prefer competitive play or a more relaxed dueling experience, GENESYS Celebration Events are designed to bring the community together for this special occasion.

Dates & Locations 

NEURON: Engage! Events will be hosted at Official Tournament Stores around the world from 18th October to 23rd November 2025. Please check with your local OTS for exact event dates and formats, as these may vary depending on the region.

Event Formats

Official Tournament Stores may choose how to run their GENESYS Celebration Event, offering one or more of the following formats:

  • Swiss Style Tournaments for Duelists looking for competitive play
  • Open Dueling Events for a more casual, non-tournament experience

All events will be played using the GENESYS format. Some stores may even run a combination of both formats during the celebration period.

Please confirm the event format with your chosen store before attending.

Genesys Rules

The Genesys rules are simple: 

  1. No Link Monsters or Pendulum Monsters are allowed. All other cards are allowed. The original field layout is used, with no Extra Monster Zones nor Pendulum Zones. 
  2. The standard Forbidden & Limited Cards list is not used. All those cards can be used, except Link Monsters and Pendulum Monsters. Usual limit of 3 copies max of any card still applies. 
  3. Deck construction uses a point system. Some cards are assigned a point value; most cards cost zero points. The total point cost of cards in your Main Deck, Extra Deck, and Side Deck (combined) cannot exceed the point cap for that event. 
  4.  The standard point cap is 100, but events can be run with any point cap, or even a zero-point cap! Official Tournament Stores can set their own caps for their tournaments.
