The World Championship Qualifier – National (WCQ – National) is your chance to be crowned the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) National Champion! Duelists within each eligible Latin American country compete to become their nation’s Champion and represent their nation at either the Central America or South America Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG WCQ 2026! Top finishers from the WCQ – National will be invited to either the Central or South America WCQ 2026, based on their country of residence.

Starting in 2026, all former 1-Day WCQ – National events will be upgraded to full 2-Day events!
That means more Public Events, more prizes, and even more Dueling than ever before. Get ready for bigger weekends and bigger competition!
All WCQ – National events will be open to all Duelists. If you have previously earned an invite to the WCQ, the cost to enter the WCQ – National is waived. Duelists will not receive any booster packs but will have the opportunity to be crowned the 2026 Champion of that Nation. Duelists who have yet to earn an invite, and those with an invite that choose to forgo their free entry, can pay the equivalent of $15.00 USD in local currency to receive the equivalent in booster packs from our latest booster release Blazing Dominion and registration to the event. Duelists must be a resident of the host country to participate in the WCQ – National if one is being held in your country. WCQ – National events will take place throughout Latin America during the dates of May 9th – 31st, 2026.
If your country is not hosting a WCQ – National, you may still earn an invitation to the Central or South America 2026 WCQ. Eligible Duelists are welcome to participate in any WCQ – National event in Latin America or in Regional Qualifier events held in the United States or Canada.
WCQ – National events will be broken down into 5 Tiers (1 through 5) and each Tier has its own prize pool. Tiers are assigned based on the 2025 WCQ – National events’ attendance. Help make your country obtain a Tier 5 classification in 2027 by participating this year! To reach a higher classification next year, your WCQ – National must have a minimum of the following attendance in 2026:
Tier 5 – 1025+ Duelists
Tier 4 – 512 – 1024 Duelists
Tier 3 – 257 – 512 Duelists
Tier 2 – 129 – 256 Duelists
Tier 1 – Up to 128 Duelists
For 2026, Top Finishers at each of the WCQ – National event will earn an exclusive WCQ – National Game Mat featuring a unique design. These Game Mats are only awarded to the best Duelists of each country!

As an additional incentive exclusively for Tier 4 and Tier 5 at WCQ – National events, all Duelists participating in the Main Event within these Tiers will receive a WCQ – National Field Center Card (FCC)**. Plus, Duelists who pre-register and turn in their valid Deck List on or before the Friday of their event will receive a random pre-registration Yu-Gi-Oh! Coin*!

In addition to the WCQ – National, each of the above countries will be hosting a Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Dragon Duel National on the same day. Participants must be born in 2012 or later and are required to provide proof of age to participate in a Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Dragon Duel National. This event is open to the public and is free of charge.
The winner of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Dragon Duel National event will receive complimentary travel and accommodations to the Latin America WCQ for their region, where they can choose to compete in either the all-ages World Championship Qualifier OR the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Dragon Duel Championship! Please note, however, that they cannot compete in both.
If a Dragon Duelist earned an invite at a Dragon Duel tournament hosted at select Regional Qualifiers, WCQ – National events in Latin America, and YCS events throughout the Americas, they have the choice to use that invite for the all-ages WCQ, which are open to all Duelists with an invite, or participate in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Dragon Duel Championship.
- Dragon Duelists will compete against one another at the Regional, WCQ – National, and YCS level.
- Dragon Duelists will earn invites to the all-ages WCQ.
- Any Dragon Duelist that earns an invite to the all-ages WCQ can choose to participate in the Dragon Duel Championship instead of the all-ages WCQ, but they will not be able to compete in both.
- There are different prizes for the Dragon Duel Championship at the WCQ, including an exclusive trip to Japan to attend Jump Festa* and a visit to a theme park awarded to the winner and their guardian.
* Jump Festa is a manga and anime convention celebrating titles from the publisher, Shueisha, Inc., including Yu-Gi-Oh!.
