To the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) community –

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. has diligently prioritized the health and safety of our community, Official Tournament Store (OTS) owners and staff, and all business partners throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. We have continued to closely monitor developments and updates related to the pandemic as local, state, and regional openings have continued to progress daily. Based on local guidelines and regulations, we allowed stores in the United States to open for sanctioned in-store Organized Play and events last month. Starting Wednesday, September 1, we are allowing stores in Canada to open for sanctioned in-store Organized Play and events, at each stores’ discretion and where allowed by local regulation. We encourage OTS owners, staff, and Duelists to follow Municipal, Provincial, and Federal health and safety guidelines. We recommend that stores ask Duelists to confirm that they are fully vaccinated or have tested negative before letting them participate in tournaments, if regulations allow. We also highly encourage store personnel and Duelists to continue to follow social distancing rules and to wear masks, consistent with CDC recommendations and regulations in your area.

Although we are currently only recommending opening stores in the United States and Canada, we continue to share our community’s enthusiasm in Latin America to resume Organized Play and promotional events. We are working closely with our OTS contacts and business partners while heeding public health guidance to determine how and when we can safely reopen stores in the Latin America region. In the interim, we encourage the community, throughout the Americas, to continue participating in Remote Duel, our Organized Play initiative to run sanctioned tournaments using Yu-Gi-Oh! DUEL LINKS, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution, and the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. For more information on Remote Duel, please visit https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/remoteduel/index.html, and subscribe to our official social media channels to get up-to-date news.

Please continue to visit our official Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG website and official social media channels for the latest news and updates:

Additionally, those with non-press-related inquiries regarding event cancellations and updates on future events and Organized Play initiatives are encouraged to contact us-opsupport@konami.com for more information.

We look forward to enjoying the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG experience in person again and encourage everyone participating at in-person events to remain safe.

To the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) community –

Over the past year, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. has remained diligent about prioritizing the overall health and safety of our fan base, Official Tournament Store (OTS) owners and staff, and all business partners amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Although state, regional, and local openings are progressing daily, we believe it is in the best interests of our community to further extend the postponement of our Organized Play and in-store promotional events through at least June 30, 2021, unless the situation improves dramatically prior to that. In continued overall efforts of monitoring developments and updates related to the ongoing pandemic, we are specifically monitoring the current vaccination and new infection rates throughout the Americas. If areas within the Americas show signs of improvement – such as low case rates and/or high vaccination rates – we may begin to open up specific territories on a case-by-case basis. We will be sure to provide updates here as applicable.

In the interim, we encourage the community to continue participating in Remote Duel, our Organized Play initiative to run sanctioned tournaments using Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution, and the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME. We are excited to announce the addition of a Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links Main Event at the next Remote Duel Extravaganza scheduled for June 26-27, which will ultimately lead into a Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links Remote Duel Invitational. Additionally, the highly anticipated Remote Duel Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS) is scheduled for July 10-11. For more information on Remote Duel, please visit https://www.yugioh-card.com/en/remoteduel/index.html, and subscribe to our official social media channels to get up-to-date news.

We continue to share our community’s enthusiasm to resume Organized Play and promotional events, and, in this vein, we are working closely with our OTS contacts and business partners, while heeding public health guidance, to determine how and when we can do this safely.
