To the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME community –

As we monitor developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to take seriously the guidelines and recommendations put forth by government health authorities and experts. In keeping with those guidelines and in recognizing our own responsibility to prioritize the health and safety of our entire Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG community, we are making the following changes to our 2020 events schedule:

Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS)

  • YCS Minneapolis (originally Aug 22-23) is canceled.

WCQ – National Championships

  • All nationals (originally postponed) are canceled.

Organized Play and Promotional Events

  • All OP and events postponed indefinitely, until further notice.

We are aware of the steps that communities across the nation have taken to gradually reopen; however, with the increase in daily COVID-19 cases occurring around the U.S., we want to prioritize the safety and well-being of our communities. As circumstances evolve throughout the coming weeks, we will periodically provide future updates relating to the status of local Organized Play and promotional events, as we review government health authority guidelines. To the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME community –

We hope you and your loved ones remain healthy and safe. As we continue to closely monitor developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain committed to our role in prioritizing the overall health and safety of our fan base, Tournament Store owners and staff, and all business partners. In keeping with the guidelines and recommendations put forth by government health authorities, we believe it is in the best interests of our community to extend the postponement of our Organized Play and promotional events through Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

We are aware of the steps that communities across the nation have taken to gradually reopen and share our community's enthusiasm to resume Organized Play and promotional events. As circumstances evolve throughout the coming weeks, we may provide another update relating to the status of local Organized Play and promotional events prior to June 30, as we review government health authority guidelines.

To support Official Tournament Stores during this challenging time, we have introduced Remote Duel, a new Organized Play initiative to run sanctioned tournaments using Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, Legacy of the Duelist, Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution, and a Duelist's own card collection.

Additionally, those with non-press-related inquiries regarding event cancellations and updates on future events and Organized Play initiatives are encouraged to contact us-opsupport@konami.com for more information.

To the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME community –

We hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy and safe. As we monitor developments related to the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to take seriously our role in contributing to the overall health and safety of our fan base, Tournament Store owners and staff, and all business partners. In keeping with the guidelines and recommendations put forth by government health authorities, we believe it is in the best interest of our community to extend the postponement of our Organized Play and promotional events through Sunday, May 31, 2020. Jointly, we share a responsibility to prevent community spread of this virus by practicing social distancing and we appreciate everyone's cooperation during this time of uncertainty.

We are equally aware of the steps that communities across the nation have taken to gradually reopen. We share our community's enthusiasm to resume Organized Play and promotional events and, in this vein, we are working closely with our Tournament Store contacts and business partners, while heeding public health guidance, to determine how and when we can do this safely. At the end of May, we will review government health authority guidelines and provide another update relating to the status of local Organized Play and promotional events. To continue supporting Official Tournament Stores during this challenging time, we are introducing Remote Duel, a new Organized Play initiative to run sanctioned tournaments using Yu-Gi-Oh! To the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME community –

As we monitor developments related to this pandemic, we continue to take seriously the guidelines and recommendations put forth by government health authorities and experts. In keeping with those guidelines and in recognizing our own responsibility to prioritize the health and safety of our entire Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG community, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the following changes to our 2020 events schedule:

Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship (WCS)

  • Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2020 (originally August 22-23) is canceled.
  • All Duel Links players that have qualified for WCS 2020 will receive invitations to compete at WCS 2021.

World Championship Qualifiers (WCQ)

  • South America WCQ – Quito, Ecuador (originally June 5-7) is canceled.
  • Central America WCQ – Guadalajara, México (originally June 12-14) is canceled.
  • North America WCQ – Orlando, Florida (originally June 19-21) is canceled.
  • Duelists who received invitations to 2020 WCQs will receive invitations to compete at the 2021 WCQs.

WCQ – National Championships

  • All nationals are postponed.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series (YCS)

  • YCS Pasadena (originally May 23-24) is postponed.

We realize the WCQ – National Championships and WCQs are not just the qualifying events for the World Championships, but also an important chance to crown the best in Yu-Gi-Oh! in each country, as well as on each continent. To ensure this opportunity is still afforded to Duelists around the world, we're excited to continue to host National Championships in Latin America and Europe, State Championships in Oceania, as well as host Championships in Central, South and North America along with Europe and Oceania later this year. We will share further details regarding these tournaments in the future.

As circumstances evolve, we will continue to communicate with you often and will provide any new information, including updates on the status of postponed and future events, as it becomes available. We understand the disappointment many of our fans and Duelists may feel as a result of these changes to our event schedule but look forward to sharing news of our upcoming events with you all soon. TCG community and will preserve the integrity of the events that allow us to come together in the spirit of friendship and friendly competition. To the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME community –

As we continue to monitor developments related to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, we have closely evaluated and heeded the recommendations of government health authorities and experts. We take seriously our role in contributing to the overall health and safety of our colleagues, Tournament Store owners and staff, and the entire Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG fan base. In keeping with the most recent guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we believe it is in the best interest of our community, and the community at large, to cancel all of our Organized Play and promotional events for the next 8 weeks, through Sunday May 10. Jointly, we share a responsibility to prevent community spread of this virus by practicing social distancing and we appreciate everyone's cooperation during this time of uncertainty.
