COVID-19 Restrictions for Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Pasadena 2022

KONAMI has adopted a mandatory vaccination policy to protect the safety of its attendees.  Each attendee 12 years and older will be required to show proof of full vaccination before entry (this requirement may change depending on authorization of vaccines for the under 12 age group. We will update this as the situation evolves).  To be fully vaccinated, an attendee must have received their second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least two weeks prior to the event.  Acceptable proof of COVID-19 vaccination includes a CDC vaccination card, a WHO vaccination card, or a photo of either card (printed or on an electronic device).  The card must state the name of the vaccinated person, the type of vaccine received, and the date of the last dose.  All players participating in tournaments and any spectators 18 and older must also show a photo ID that matches the identifying information on the vaccination card.

Children under the age of 12 will not be required to show proof of vaccination, but instead must show documentation of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event.  The test must be a molecular or antigen test with Emergency Use Authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.  Home tests will not be accepted.  The documentation must show the test result, the type of test, the entity issuing the test, and the date of test.

Attendees who are unable to receive a COVID-19 vaccine due to a medical condition must instead show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event.  In addition to the requirements listed above for showing proof of a negative test, these attendees must provide documentation from a healthcare provider verifying that the attendee has a medical exemption from vaccination.  This verification must state the attendee’s name, the fact that the attendee is medically exempt, and must be signed by a healthcare provider.

KONAMI will be checking proof of vaccination, proof of negative test results, and medical exemption documentation at the entrance of the event.  KONAMI reserves the right to refuse entry to attendees who do not comply with this policy.

Face Masks must be worn at all times during the event.

There will be a dedicated food service area for eating and drinking and Face Masks may be removed briefly in this area only for eating or drinking.  Food and beverages may not be consumed in any area outside of the dedicated eating area.

TRAVEL & ACCOMODATION

Q: What is the closest airport to YCS Pasadena 2022?

A: Nearest Airport(s):

Q: What’s the best way to get to the tournament from the airport?

A: UBER and LYFT are available for pickup and drop off at both airports.

At Bob Hope Airport (BUR), Ride Share Pickup is located at the Ground Transportation Island across from the Terminal B Entrance.
At Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Ride Share Pickup is now available just off of Terminal 1. This is a recent change at LAX to relieve traffic congestion at the Terminals. Outside the Terminal you arrive at, you can find your shuttle pickup point that will take you to the LAX-IT (“LA EXIT”) holding area to arrange your pickup with your Ride Share service of Choice or a Taxi. For some Terminals, such as Terminal 1 or Terminal 7, it is a short walk to LAX-IT, and may be more convenient than taking the Shuttle.
More information can be found here.

The list of Taxi services at Bob Hope Airport (BUR) can be found here.

At LAX there are also Public Transport (BUS and Shuttles) to take you offsite of the Airport whether to a hotel or as a secondary option to get away from the congestion of the Airport Traffic before requesting a Shared Ride from another location.
Details for Public Transport at LAX can be found here.
