SAMUEL PEDIGO OVERCOMES 1325 DUELISTS TO BECOME CHAMPION OF THE 125TH Yu-Gi-Oh! CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES IN TURIN, ITALY


25- year old from Dallas (Texas), USA claims the prestigious title of 125th YCS winner at Konami Digital Entertainment B.V.'s premier event that was held at Turin's Lingotto Fiere on November 30th - December 1st



Wielding a Geargia Karakuri Deck, Pedigo had to display his Dueling abilities time and time again over the course of the two-day event. Following 15 rounds across the two days and against a field of 1325 competitors from all over Europe, Asia and North America, Pedigo would face, 18-year old Konrad Grünewald from Germany using a Dragon Ruler Deck in the final. The stage had been set! Who would claim the prestigious title of 125th YCS Winner?

In a fiercely contested match-up, Pedigo finally managed to best his opponent when he activated Imperial Iron Wall in what was ultimately the decisive play. As well as becoming the 125th YCS Champion, he also received a prize package that included a Notebook PC, an exclusive YCS Prize Card and paid travel and accommodation to the 2014 World Championship Qualifier tournament – the North American WCQ.

For those who did not participate in the main tournament; there were several other events to take part in throughout the weekend, including tournaments to win giant Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, Game Mats and other popular prizes, such as additional copies of the YCS Prize Card Number 106: Giant Hand. One very special tournament was the YCS Trial on Sunday in which 21-year old Patrick Hoban from Atlanta (Georgia), USA was awarded a paid trip to an upcoming YCS event.

In what promises to be a sizzling next stop for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series, Duelists can look forward to a first ever YCS in Oceania. YCS Sydney, Australia, on the weekend of January 18th/19th is sure to be a scorcher.
