Using his Dragon Rulers Deck, Rieder demonstrated his Dueling skills on numerous occasions over the course of the two-day event. After 15 rounds across the two days and against a field of almost 1500 competitors from all over Europe, Rieder faced 18-year old Alpay Engin from Germany and his Dragon Ruler Deck in the final of the largest European YCS event so far.

The gripping and intense match was brought to an end by Rieder when he Summoned Star Eater in what would prove to be the decisive moment. As well as earning the title of YCS Champion, he also received a prize package that included a Notebook PC, an exclusive YCS Prize Card and paid travel and accommodation to the 2014 World Championship Qualifier tournament – the European Championship.

For those who did not participate in the main tournament; there were several other events to take part in throughout the weekend, including tournaments to win giant Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, Game Mats and other popular prizes, such as additional copies of the YCS Prize Card "Number 106: Giant Hand" or even a paid trip to an upcoming YCS event in Europe. One very special tournament was the "GIANT ATTACK OF THE GIANT CARD!!" on Sunday in which 24-year-old Rodrigo Togores from Madrid/ Spain was awarded not 1, not 2, but 3 Giant Egyptian God Cards!

That wasn't all! YCS London was held alongside the MCM ComicCon, a huge event that attracts fans of anime, manga, movies and games. Duelists that entered into the YCS had the chance to experience everything that MCM ComicCon had to offer, as entry to the YCS guaranteed free entry to the MCM ComicCon!

For the first time ever, two of Europe’s biggest gaming events joined forces to provide a weekend that people would never forget! Additional activities such as Number Monster Bingo, Giant Card Dueling and a Treasure Hunt took place to ensure that attendees had a very enjoyable Yu-Gi-Oh! themed weekend.

The next stop for Duelists wishing to take part in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series will be Turin, Italy on the weekend of November 30th - December 1st.
