Dear Duelists,
Our latest Booster set, Hidden Arsenal 2, will be released throughout Europe on July 15th. Usually, new cards become tournament legal immediately upon their release, and this rule will also apply to Hidden Arsenal 2 when it comes to local tournaments.
However, we are aware that the release date of Hidden Arsenal 2 is very close to the WCQ: European Championships 2010 (July 17th/18th), which makes it very hard to get the new cards and playtest with them in time.
Thus, we have decided that cards from Hidden Arsenal 2 will NOT BE LEGAL for the European Championships. This exception from the legality rule applies only to the EC main event and to the Dragon Duel public event. Cards from Hidden Arsenal 2 will be legal in all other public events on-site.
In response to several requests regarding the legality of promotional cards, we would also like to clarify the following: All TCG promotional cards become legal in all territories on the day they are released. This also applies to cards to cards only released in a single market, like the US – these become legal in all TCG territories upon the US release. Cards released in the Japanese OCG aren’t legal in the TCG under any circumstances.
For the European Championships as well as for all other tournaments, please also keep in mind that specific cards are Limited or Forbidden. You can find a list of those cards here.
