Michel Grüner is the winner of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series Bochum!

1286 players showed up for the main event of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series in Europe, making it the biggest European Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG tournament ever! The players had to prove their skills in 11 grueling rounds of Swiss and only 32 were allowed to advance to the knock out portion of the tournament.

We saw lots of innovations and unique deck ideas in the Top 32, and with Michel Grüner and Eden Zamir in the finals, this event found a worthy and captivating conclusion.

Grüner had the home advantage on his side together with an impressive résumé of a German National Champion title as well as several wins at other major events. Zamir on the other hand was playing outside of Israel for the first time ever, but so far it seemed like nothing could stop him.

Eden Zamir was playing his very own take on the Dandywarrior archetype and could win the first Duel, however, Michel Grüner proved once again that the X-Sabers are a force to be reckoned with and made a strong comeback, winning the second and final Duel of the day! Key to his victory were some amazing reads, keeping him from overextending and saving his best cards for the most important turns!

Congratulations as well to XYZ, who bested XYZ other juniors and thus managed to win the Dragon Duel public event!
