EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (June 24, 2010) - Chicago, IL recently hosted the latest Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series event for the global trading card game powerhouse, and Omar Beldon was crowned as the newest Champion.
Beldon built a Deck that destroyed his competition over the weekend to win this Yu-Gi-Oh! Championship Series, held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont. Over 620 players competed in this event for the coveted title.
Beldon, a Toronto native, squared off against Billy Brake from Sachse, TX – near Dallas – for the title, with their friends and peers cheering during the much anticipated finals matchup. Beldon and Brake played Infernity and X-Sabers, respectively.
Beldon earned a killer prize package that included such items as a set of Ultra Rare YCS Prize Cards, an exclusive YCS Game Mat, a netbook computer, a paid trip to the World Championship Qualifier, and more!
